The ECSA Open Division Executive Board has the following positions open for the 2010/2011 seasons:
Commissioner
The Commissioner is responsible for overseeing the entire Open Division. Duties include but aren't limited to, securing league playing facilities and equipment, securing league insurance, setting goals and fiscal policy for the league, establishing relationships with local businesses and sponsors, continued growth of teams in the Open Division, ratings, as well as overseeing the Pride Director and Hall of Fame Director. This is a two-year term.
C Assistant Commissioner
The C Assistant Commissioner is the acting liaison between the C Division managers and coaches and the Executive Board. Duties include but aren't limited to attending board meetings, opening and closing the fields, education, ratings adjustments, scheduling, and presenting the special needs of the C Division to the Executive Board. The candidate does not have to currently be active within the C division to be eligible. This is a two-year term.
Membership Director
The Membership Director is responsible for the continued growth of the league through the planning and execution of the pre-season skills clinics and outreach within the community. The Membership Director is responsible for finding teams for the people listed on the website Player Matchmaker, as well as working with individual teams to fill their rosters. This candidate must also attend board meetings, open and close the fields, and other duties should the need arise. The candidate should possess organization skills and a genuine interest in working with all divisions in their continued growth. This is a two-year term.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is the only board position that is appointed by the Executive Board, and not the general membership. The candidate should possess organization skills and some background in accounting or bookkeeping is required. Experience in Quickbooks is a plus or some other accounting software. This position is open to anyone with a general interest in the position, and they do not need to be involved in the Open Division league in any other capacity. This candidate must also attend board meetings and other duties should the need arise. This is a minimum one-year term.
