ECSA Coach of the Year 1999

ECSA All-Star - Outfield (1996)

Served as the ECSA League Secretary twice under Commissioners Nick Bacetich and Pete Somerville

Served as the ECSA League A/B Assistant Commissioner under Mike Farris and Terry Egger

Bobby worked with existing board (including Mike Farris and Dug Wehage) in 1999 to create a new division. (C Recreational -which was then re-named to D) Bobby then assisted the existing ECSA Commissioner, Mike Farris, with a draft, which, was presented and later adopted to add the D division to NAGAAA (that division not only actively participates in our league and nationally - but has garnered GSWS berths as well.) Bobby was instrumental in convincing other city commissioners that creating a NAGAAA sanctioned D Division would expand the experience and charter under which the GSWS was created. Bobby was also instrumental in developing the guidelines of the GSWS questionnaire to the applicable level of play and linking them to the rating system for the various levels of play within NAGAAA. Bobby participated in several NAGAAA World Series meetings at his own time and expense to help accomplish these ends. This serves as a document that connects the current 27 NAGAAA rating questions with one another to help facilitate protests and accurate player ratings both locally and nationally.

In 2003 Bobby served as a liaison for the Emerald City Classic and the SMSUA to provide a staff of umpires and a UIC.

Other Qualifications:

Bobby demonstrates a great deal of leadership whether it is defending a protest at the NAGAAA World Series or actively teaching new players the skills of the game of softball. More than once Bobby has been out in the Seattle rain and off season, helping new players improve their skills.

Bobby is an accomplished softball player whom is nationally recognized for his athletic skills and warm friendships within NAGAAA. He has been a pick up player on many pick up teams across the country, including most recently the 40 and over Windy City Senior Championship team.

His integrity and ability to remain fair and consistent during his umpiring duties has landed him invitations to several west coast and nationally attended tournaments.
