Time started playing softball on the Seattle Ritz team back in 1980 when the league was called the Seattle Softball League. His team represented SEattle in 1982 in the Gay Olympics. This is the first time that a Seattle gay team participated in softball in the Gay Olympics - his team finished in 2nd place that year and established Seattle softball players as serious competitors for years to come. His team continued playing thru 1983 and 1984 and in 1985 the Seattle Softball League joined NAGAAA. Time's Ritz team that year represented Seattle in the leagues participation of the first NAGAAA World Series. That year they defeated the defending champions Houston (a team for that time that was very similiar to today's LA Stray Cats) by a score of 6 to 0. They ended up taking 3rd place in World Series - they lost to LA Blue Dots by a score of 2 to 1 in twelve innings just missing the opportunity to play in the championship game. Ever since starting to play in the league in 1980 Time has played for 23 consecutive sessions and continues to play today and is respected as one of the best players that we have in the league. Several of the teams that he has played on that went to World Series have won medals - this is a list:

1982 - 2nd place Gay Olympics
1983 - 3rd Place Chicago World Series
1988 - 4th Place Milwaukee WS
1991 - 3rd Place LA WS
1993 - 1st Place Philadelphia WS
2001 - 4th Place San Jose WS
2003 - 4th Place Washington DC WS

No other player from this league currently playing or played in the past has been on more teams that have placed at World Series. An extraordindary accomplishment for a career of softball in this league that is continuing. Time was present and part of the formation of this league and one of the few players still playing that can say that. If anyone had a chance to look through the NAGAAA Hall of Fame photograph book you will see Time as one of the only Seattle Players in the photos back when Seattle began to play in the World Series.

Additional Comments:

In addition to playing the game Time has been a coach, assistant Coach, League secretary and a team representative on the Board. Over the years Time has been sought out from friends and coaches alike for advice and help on how to improve their game and he was always willing help them out. I can recall several times when looking back on my softball World Series experiences of seeing Time while he was not playing watching and cheering on his fellow Seattle teams at World Series. One time that especially comes to mind is the Atlanta WS and feeling of support I got from him in the stands when my team was playing a New York team. It also was very evident this past World Series. I was coaching a D team and Time was there cheering us on for most every game. This is something rare to see from a player of his level being interested and supporting a D team. I truly believe that this league today has become what it is due in part to the involvement of players like Time.
